Lladró has renewed the popular tradition of the Christmas crib. Since 1959, the date of the first Christmas piece, the Holy Family has been represented in numerous different variations on this traditional theme. The Nativity has been celebrated in both porcelain and Gres, in complex groups of over ten figurines or in austere versions composed of a single piece, as is the case here.
