Successful presentation of The Fantasy collection in Milan

Lladró
On April 18th last, Lladró presented in Milan the world premiere of The Fantasy , the first collection signed by Jaime Hayón for the brand. Rosa Lladró and Hayón played host at the well-attended event in Spazio Rossana Orlandi , the international design mecca in Milan. Also during the same event, we had the presentation of a collection of shoes Hayon designed for Camper and the launch of the book Jaime Hayon Works , overviewing his career so far.
The launch of the collection was held against the backdrop of
Il Salone, the international furniture fair of Milan, an absolute must-visit show for anyone seriously interested in design. The event was much talked about by players in the design world and was covered widely in the press, with Jaime Hayón being interviewed by many journalists who turned up for the presentation. The international interest of the event attracted representatives from major galleries and stores from all around the world.

The collection
The Fantasy combines Lladró’s usual themes with the magic of the unexpected Hayón is known for. The obvious references to love, the family, childhood or the magic of the circus are coupled with the expressiveness of the decoration, further enhanced with the use of the reds, blues and turquoises created especially for the collection. Elements like the shoes, the original octagonal bases and even the candles for the candleholders, have been decorated specifically in the same colors. And it is this perfect balance between expression and function that makes these pieces from The Fantasy such highly prized objects which, over and above their decorative potential, awaken the fantasy of lovers of our brand. An interesting aside: the character in the series The Lover is wearing the shoes Hayón designed for Camper, which was one of the reasons why the two brands planned a joint event.

The Fantasy is, in short, a “positive cross-pollination” of Hayón’s world with Lladró, as the designer put it himself. One can speak of a “perfect fusion” between the brand’s porcelains and Hayon’s touches of fantasy. In fact, he has even introduced elements from his past repertoire, like the cactus or the Green Chicken. In this recreation of his own works, Hayón demonstrates his admiration for the infinite potential of Lladró porcelains.

Lladró launches its new issues in Paris

Lladró
Lladró launched its latest issues at Maison et Objet,
the fair held in January in Paris, one of the most
prestigious trade shows for décor and interior design.

Lladró, the porcelain brand
participated in this annual
event with a spectacular booth
designed to showcase their best
and more recent creations.
Naturofantastic: the dreamlike side of nature
Naturofantastic is a fantasy world where the organic and fantasy are combined to create everyday objects such as lamps, vases, candelabra, table accessories… The pieces comprising this collection represent a journey to the most dreamlike side of Nature, conjured up in the imagination of Lladró artists.
Lladró
These original pieces
are available in different
versions.

Some of the pieces use different ranges of grey, green and blue colors to capture nuances and tones which strengthen the fantasy side of Nature, whilst other pieces are decorated with ceramic gold luster, combining gloss and matt finishes.
Lladró Re-Cyclos by Committee

Another of the new Lladró introductions on show at Maison et Objet is the new edition of Re-Cyclos, signed for the occasion by the British team Committee, presenting evocative and poetic creations.

One of the themes chosen by this creative team is the love of a couple, whose evolution is depicted by a truly characteristic element in the creations of this porcelain brand: handmade flowers, made petal by petal. Therefore, the designers’ proposal consists of three couples made of white porcelain covered progressively by flowers, signifying the growth of their feelings. This trilogy comes to a close with a spectacular creation, covered with the greatest number of flowers ever created in the history of Lladró: over a thousand flowers covering the characters’ bodies.

The British design team Committee is made
up by Harry Richardson and Clare Page, born
in Northampton and London respectively and
trained at the Liverpool Art School.
Both claim that they explore the everyday
with “pragmatism and imagination”.

Taking the animal kingdom as their source of inspiration, with Celebration and Curiosity Committee creates a fantasy world in which the spirit of the pieces is further enhanced by using golden tones. Besides, the turquoise or black tones help to create dreamlike ambiences.
In its reinterpretation of Elephants Walking the golden color simulates a jet of water sprayed by the
elephants over their backs from their trunks. This detail is different depending on the piece.
In the case of The monkey, Committee underscores this character’s curiosity transforming the flower
capturing its attention into a fountain of liquid gold soaking its hand and marking the finger trying to
touch it.

Lladró Re-Cyclos by Committee adds a touch of humor in
its proposals, especially significant in Earth and Discovery, two pieces depicting the curiosity and the adventure of life through charming angels exploring the world represented
as rocks in turquoise tones.

Finally, at Maison et Objet Committee presented boxes designed from the original moulds used to make Lladró porcelain figurines. This time, the designers pay tribute to the beauty concealed by these moulds and play with the reliefs of the concave shapes. The results are innovative objects capturing the creative spirit of Lladró works.
EQUUS and Lladró Re-Cyclos Magical

Re-Cyclos is a creative proposal of new and evocative
works made from Lladró’s classic figurines. Lladró Re-Cyclos Magical by Bodo Sperlein came into being when the porcelain brand invited prestigious designers from all over the world to reinterpret its creations. Well acquainted with the workings of porcelain, Sperlein decided to focus on Nature using delicate elements of Lladró to create new and surprising jewelry accessories, and lighting and décor objects.

Magic Forest Chandelier
The Lladró Re-Cyclos Magical has been added to with EQUUS, recently presented at Paris as one of the new introductions this season. Bodo Sperlein uses the legs, heads and hoofs of Lladró horses to create witty tabletop accessories.

Coffee cups and saucers, a teapot, a bowl or a butter dish and knife comprise this original series of accessories for decorating tables with a touch of elegance and innovation. Apart from the horse elements, this collection is particularly noteworthy for the hand-painted elements in grey tones.

EQUUS also includes a magnifying glass and letter opener using horses’ legs as their handles, adding a touch of elegance to any writing desk.

Lladró Re-Cyclos Magical also launches
a new version of the Niagara chandelier,
a spectacular hanging lamp with hundreds of white porcelain butterflies hanging from optical fiber cables. This creation received an excellent response in both of its formats (1.10m and 2m), now available in a smaller size (60cm), making it the ideal décor accessory for all homes. This collection will grow with the incorporation of the chandelier Magic Forest with dozens of delicate porcelain leaves, creating a warm and evocative ambience.

The new Lladró collections are presented
in the main cities around the world, such
as the case of Frankfurt, at the recently held Ambiente trade fair.
