This is the first decision you have to take before setting off on the adventure of sewing.
Well, actually it’s the second decision, because first you have to know what it is you want to sew. Colby, Sunny, Puffy, Roby and Reese all knew what they wanted to do, but they couldn’t find the right thread. It didn’t matter how many times they spun the cotton on the spindle, the thread always ended up breaking. And they had to come up with the perfect red thread.
Meet the characters
The Protective Penguin
Colby grew up with the gift of protection. He learned it from a very young age from his parents, who, like all good penguins, do not separate from their egg for almost two months while it is incubating.
Under Colby’s protective wings the world seems to stand still. Anyone will find the refuge they need to feel free and to trust in a heart that shines to protect you, to take you by the hand and start to walk. You can sleep safely in the knowledge that Colby’s red heart will be watching over you.
The Intuitive Owl
Reese is never wrong because he has the power of intuition … that sixth sense that makes this owl the perfect companion if you never want to make the wrong choice; or to be one step ahead of a mistake, because his intuition can also help to successfully confront any situation. Maybe it’s because he can turn his head up to 270º or because he is so silent that he can move without being seen. Reese seems to live in a permanent state of déjà vu and his red heart seems to be wondering: “Have I not been through this before?"
The Loyal Fox
Although most foxes are loners, they are also very playful and family-oriented. Sunny received the red heart of loyalty and he will never let you down: Sunny the fox gives you his word. In sickness and in health, for richer or poorer … his shiny red heart will never abandon you because otherwise it would stop shining. Everyone trusts Sunny, whose motto is borrowed from the musketeers: “One for all, and all for one”. You never have to be afraid because Sunny will always be with you.
The Generous Rabbit
Rabbits get bored very quickly if they do not have someone or something to play with, except of course for Puffy. Despite his intelligence, Puffy never manages to make ends meet because he loves giving gifts, finding the right presents and seeing the look of joy on the faces of those who receive them. Nothing makes him happier. If he could, he would give away his shiny red heart without thinking twice, even if it meant being left without one. The advantage is that he doesn’t need to give it away, because his generosity allows him to share it and he has a lot to share.
The Brave Bear
Polar, brown, black, koala, panda… of all the bears in the world, Roby is the bravest. His heart holds all the courage necessary to take a leap without a safety net. Without looking backwards, without thinking about the consequences, without fear… Roby’s eyes are focused on a whole world of possibilities and he is always ready for new experiences. Fear is not part of his vocabulary and he takes on the challenge of each new day with the fearlessness of a baby who never tires of exploring everything around him.
