From chemistry to modeling, as well as carving, etching, painting… a team of expert artists and designers keep alive the ancient crafts and methods of turning porcelain into dreams. Unique craft processes that are applied in the most figurative Lladró as well as in lighting collections, home accessories and jewelry.

ART DECÓ

INSPIRATION

The roaring twenties saw the rise of the glamorous and exuberant Art Deco movement, recognizable for its aerodynamic lines and geometric patterns. One hundred years ago, design sought a communion between geometry and nature. The creators of Art Deco discovered a fascinating world of forms inspired by plant motifs as well as by the pure stylized lines of contemporary art. Straight and curved lines were combined to make elegant patterns.

An art form that marked a whole era and which now regains all its currency in the designs of the Seasons collection. This unique style, the end result of a painstaking process of etching and ornamentation, is recovered in the forms of each one of the fragments with which these spectacular lamps are composed.

NATURE

INSPIRATION

At the same time, the various seasons of the year are captured in the masterful treatment of color that conveys the particular beauty of each one, with their changes, depending on day or night or the particular place. Creations that range from spring green in Edinburgh and the blue of summertime in Santorini to the bluish-grey tones of winter in New York. All the colors are applied in gradients by hand on fragments that emulate leafy vegetation.

The play of sensations is magnified thanks to the sparkling glass elements interleaved with the porcelain. Seasons is a versatile, evocative collection that brings nature indoors.

SUNRISE

In Sunrise white is the dominant color, as the darkness of night gives way to the dazzling light of day when everything comes to life. Sunrise combines fragments of white glazed porcelain, inspired by leaves, petals, clouds and flowers, with others made of Murano glass, all set in a gold-plated iron structure.

In this version, white, glass and the golden finish seem to amplify the light, making the Sunrise chandeliers the center of attention in any room.

FALL

The season that covers the countryside with subtle shades of vegetation is rendered in the Fall chandelier in a symphony of color in violet, mauve, pumpkin and green tones.

The fragments of which it is composed are interleaved to create a delicate harmony of color and forms.

Like all the creations in this collection, the leaves, flowers, petals and pistils emulated by the fragments are worked with the rounded lines of Art Deco. The handcrafted elaboration in porcelain conveys distinction, uniqueness and exquisite value.

WINTER

In the Winter version of Seasons, blue, mauve and burgundy tones are applied in gradients from the deepest to the lightest. These colors evoke the elegance and calm of the coldest and yet also the warmest season of year.

The glass components and the plated metal structure are interleaved with fragments of porcelain, handmade one by one, in spectacular compositions.

Seasons gets off to a start with three versions of color in six different shapes and sizes. After this initial launch, it will be extended with three new color versions, Nightfall, Spring and Summer. More options that demonstrate the creative wealth enabled by Lladró lighting’s distinctive control of color.
