Plant the future

“Biophilia is an innate love for the natural world that impels us to connect with all living things in order to feel joy, peace, and harmony. Biophilia is deeply rooted in our biology”

- explained Paloma Teppa, founder of the botanical art gallery and biophilic design studio in Miami Plant the Future.

Our collaboration with Lladró fuses the unique art of handcrafted porcelain with botanical art in pieces with a contemporary style that come to life with the green of cactuses, air plants and succulents.”

Gorilla Garden, Elephant Garden, Rhino Garden y Bunny Garden are the planters created by Lladró for the Plant the Future collection.

Creations whose meaning is expanded as they become wonderful pieces of nature when completed with compositions created by Paloma Teppa herself.

These planters do not include the floral arrangement, but each one contains a leaflet with instructions by the founder of Plant the Future on how to create them personally.

This collection is only available at Plant the Future galleries and at the online stores of both brands www.plantthefuture.com and www.lladro.com.

Floral arrangements

- by Paloma Teppa

Paloma Teppa, founder of Plant the Future, offers a step-by-step guide to creating compositions combining different kinds of plants.

Materials required:

- Soil.
- An assortment of small cacti and succulents. Succulents can grow almost anywhere, both indoors and outdoors. They need little water and plenty of light, which makes them an excellent choice for sprucing up an interior with a little bit of nature.
- Spray bottle.

STEP NO.1

Put the soil into the pot and pat it down with your hands.

STEP NO.2

Add the plants, ensuring that the roots are well covered by the soil. Place the taller plants in the center and the shorter ones on the sides. Use tongs when potting cactuses to protect your hands.

STEP NO.3

Spray water on the base of each plant 3 times.

This collection, dovetailing with Paloma Teppa’s mission to help people reconnect with nature through art and design, is part of Conscious & Creative, Lladró’s initiative to create beauty from sustainability and respect for the environment.
