LLADRÓ AT STAR WARS CELEBRATION 2025
This spring, the Rebellion rises in Japan. Star Wars Celebration came back to the Land of the Rising Sun from April 18 to 20, and Lladró participated at this populous fan experience with some of the brand’s breathtaking licenses collection.
Mahukari Messe Tokyo was the scenario of major announcements, immersive and interactive exhibitions, screenings, exclusive merchandise, celebrity guests, panels, and a variety of activities celebrating everything related to the galaxy far, far away. Including the unveiling of a limited edition of Lladró’s Darth Vader™ that pays tribute to the culture of Japan.
Handcrafted in white porcelain, the stunning creation highlights the intricate decoration of his cape, adorned with black-painted cherry tree branches sprinkled with 80 flowers, each one individually hand-sculpted petal by petal. The inner lining of the cape features a combination of flowers in both painted and relief designs, while the back of the cape is completed with the hinomaru, the iconic red circle symbolizing the Rising Sun, featuring the silhouette of Mount Fuji at its center.
This exclusive edition of only 88 units merges the Force of Star Wars with Lladró’s commitment to high porcelain artistry and creative innovation, and incorporates a special recognition to some of Japan’s most iconic emblems.

Another recreation by Lladró present at Star Wars Celebration was Bespin Battle™, one of the saga’s most legendary moments. The unforgettable duel where Darth Vader™ reveals his true identity as Anakin Skywalker™, father of a stunned Luke Skywalker™, has been recreated by Lladró artists in extraordinary detail: every element of both characters, from their clothing to their weapons, has been meticulously crafted, with luster applications adding metallic effects. While the iconic lightsabers, central to the saga, are crafted in red and blue crystal and attached to the sculpture via magnets, completing this one-of-a-kind piece.
Lladró also showed a new version of Stormtrooper™, handcrafted in glazed white porcelain, including details painted in deep black and subtle touches of gray. A limited edition of 1,138 pieces—a number deeply significant to Star Wars fans, on a base with an identifying plaque and serial number.
Lladró Star Wars Collection is the result of an intricate, handcrafted process that takes place entirely at the brand’s headquarters in Valencia, Spain.
