LLADRÓ AT THE KAY KUO'S EXHIBITION IN SHANGHAI
Lladró takes part in ELLE à Table, the exhibition presented by ELLE DECOR China at the SGA Art Museum in Shanghai, in collaboration with designer Kay Kuo. Open to the public for three months, it explores the dining table as a meeting point between design, art, and everyday life.
Kay Kuo, founder and creative director of Maxk Design, brings a multidisciplinary approach shaped by her international background between Shanghai, New York and Los Angeles. Her work spans interior design, hospitality projects and brand environments, often combining Eastern and Western references through contemporary forms and materials.
For this edition of ELLE à Table, Kay Kuo developed a spatial concept in which the dining table extends beyond its traditional function, to become part of a wider environment for gathering and interaction. The installation unfolds through a sequence of spaces within the museum, combining furniture, artworks and decorative elements into a cohesive setting designed to encourage conversation and shared experience.
Lladró is present through designs like Belle de Nuit, positioned above the central dining table. The spectacular chandelier introduces light, color and material contrast, reinforcing the atmosphere of the space while highlighting porcelain as both a decorative and architectural element.
Nightbloom by Marcel Wanders and Parrot wall sconce also contribute to the overall balance between craftsmanship, design and functionality. And a Spanish Pure Breed sculpture pays homage to the Year of the Horse, “symbolizing courage, speed, and the energy to move towards the future” says Kay Kuo.

Curated by ELLE DECOR China in partnership with SGA Art Museum, ELLE à Table brings the magazine’s editorial vision into a physical setting, transforming ideas of lifestyle and design into a tangible experience. Within this framework, Lladró continues its dialogue with contemporary designers and cultural institutions, exploring new ways of presenting porcelain in modern contexts.
ELLE à Table is on view at SGA Art Museum, Shanghai, from 20th December 2025 to 3rd March 2026.
