Lladró participated in BMW’s launch of the first ever i7, a symbol of their new concept of “Forwardism”, at a special event in India recently.

This eclectic and avant-garde artistic and culinary experience took place in Alibaug, where guests sailed in a private yacht from Mumbai and were transported to the future at the luxurious villa clad in red Dholpur stone designed by renowned Indian architect Pinakin Patel.

Celebrating 70 years of revolutionizing porcelain this year, Lladró in collaboration with BMW curated a selection of artworks for the event each of which embodied the concept of forwardism: impactful, reflecting innovation and design, just like the new BMW i7. The grand Fierce Portraits collection arranged in a straight line evoked the grille of the i7; the Origami Panthers reflected the car’s strength and power; and The Guest sculpture designed by Jaime Hayon epitomized the future.

The Fierce Portraits collection, inspired by traditional African masks, has been expanded with a surprising version in which Lladró artists have transformed the lion mask into a floral fantasy where the contemporary lines and design are the true focus.

The cordless lamps from the Firefly collection illuminated the event as part of the decorations that adorned the guest tables. Inspired by the warm glow of fireflies on warm summer nights these portable lamps added a further touch of sophistication to each table.

Renowned resort wear designers Shivan & Narresh also unveiled their exclusive luxury holiday wear collection that showcased the designers’ exceptional craftsmanship and unique vision.

Furthermore, our celebration partner for the evening Glenmorangie created an exclusive Greenhouse zone which served delicious and wonderful single malt expressions.
