LLADRÓ PARTNERS WITH FMRE TO RECOGNIZE MEXICAN PERSONALITIES
Last January, the Foro de Marcas Renombradas (FMRE) recognized Mexican entrepreneurs and personalities with the «Friends of Brand Spain» and «Friends of Spanish Brands» awards during an event that brought together leaders from the business and diplomatic sectors.
The ceremony – organized in collaboration with the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Mexico, ICEX, and the Chamber of Spain – was held with the aim of strengthening Spain’s projection in the world and deepening the economic ties between both countries. Mexico is a key country for Spanish companies due to a combination of factors such as its growing economy, an internal market of more than 120 million people, its trade agreement with the EU, which creates a stable legal framework, its strategic location with access to both North and South America, and its cultural proximity to Spain.
Olga Hanono, the renowned designer and interior designer, was one of the honored as a Friend of Spanish Brands in Mexico. Internationally known for her bold and disruptive style, she first collaborated with Lladró in 2020 with the reinterpretation of Firefly lamp, and now this partnership has been enriched with the new Lady Luck collection presented at last edition of Maison & Objet Paris.

The collaboration with Olga Hanono has not only strengthened the ties between Spain and Mexico, but also contributed to the international promotion of both Spanish and Mexican craftsmanship and design. Her recognition at the event aims to recognize her ability to blend cultural elements from both countries, resulting in pieces that stand out in the global market.
Both the Friends of Brand Spain and the Friends of Spanish Brands received a Lladró sculpture as recognition: Gallop Horse. A matte white porcelain animal figurine of a galloping horse, that represents the beauty of wild, noble creatures and its natural strength and elegance.
