NEW LLADRÓ POP-UP AT FONDACO DEI TEDESCHI, VENICE

This spring, Fondaco dei Tedeschi in Venice is the setting for a special pop-up space dedicated to Lladró’s creations, featuring a groundbreaking virtual reality experience for visitors.

Located on the building’s first floor, the space has been designed with a characteristic color palette of warm pastel tones to accompany the brand’s current message. The range of creations on display include some of Lladró’s most innovative designs, including some that were conceived in collaboration with internationally renowned creatives.

The space features a special display of The Guest, Lladró’s most captivating character. A 21st-century icon created by Jaime Hayon, it has served as a blank canvas for many renowned international artists including Paul Smith, Tim Biskup, Devilrobots, Gary Baseman, Rolito and Camille Walala to apply their creative visions.

Also on display are the colorful wireless lamps from the Firefly and Kokeshi lighting collections and the Rhino sculpture from the brand new Underwater collection, a sensitive tribute to wildlife and to water, the primeval element from which life first emerged.

The virtual reality experience offers an innovative and interactive way to understand the intricate process behind the creation of each Lladró piece. With the use of advanced technology, visitors are transported to a captivating and immersive environment where they can witness the various stages of production. Through this virtual journey, visitors can appreciate the high level of skill, artistry, and passion that Lladró artisans put into each creation, showcasing the brand’s commitment to quality and excellence.

The Fondaco del Tedeschi, with its prime location on the Grand Canal beside the world-famous Rialto bridge, was restored by the award-winning architect Rem Koolhaas and converted into a luxury shopping mall, becoming one of the city’s must-see attractions.
