LLADRÓ PRESENTS NEW CREATIONS AT EVENT IN BAKU, AZERBAIJAN

Lladró showcased the diversity and uniqueness of its handcrafted porcelain designs at a special event held at its flagship boutique in Baku, Azerbaijan recently.

Hosted in association with Italdizain, the luxury retail company and corporate partner of Lladró in Azerbaijan, the presentation coincides with a special year for the brand, as it celebrates 70 years of revolutionizing the world of porcelain.

The presentation included new creations from its Heritage, New Concept and Lighting categories, among which were two impressive portrayals of the mythical dragon, a powerful symbol of power and fortune. The Protective Dragon in gold and the Origami Dragon represent two very different yet complementary concepts that typify the variety and constant innovation that characterizes the brand’s designs.

Also on display was Mokuren, a new lighting creation designed in collaboration with renowned Japanese designer Naoto Fukusawa. The delicate forms of this exquisitely handmade chandelier features translucent porcelain flowers inspired by the graceful colors and forms of the magnolia tree, a symbol of eternal bonds.

The event included a cocktail reception and DJ set and also saw a guest appearance by a Lladró artist from the brand’s factory in Spain, who demonstrated to attendees the process of decorating a brand new creation, the Lion Mask from the Fierce Portraits collection. This collection of striking animal masks are inspired by traditional African masks.

After seven decades investigating the potential of porcelain, Lladró’s goal is to continue pushing the brand’s more experimental side, by continuing to revitalize porcelain and explore the creative possibilities it offers us. Innovation both in our palette of colors and decorative techniques, as well as in the diversification of products, were all on show at this event in a key regional market.
