LLADRÓ AT THE ROLEX SHANGHAI MASTERS, CHINA

Porcelain creations by Lladró were displayed at a special exhibition held at the recent Rolex Shanghai Masters tennis tournament in China.

Lladró teamed up with Nobilia, one of the tournament’s prestige sponsors, to present a new concept space that introduced a delicate balance between the art of sports and living. Designed with modern and avant-garde art in mind, the space provided an immersive and interactive experience that allowed visitors to explore new art trends, breaking the cultural boundaries between sports entertainment and a trendy art lifestyle. Picture-perfect from every angle, each part of the space made an ideal backdrop for photographs.

Visitors to the space were greeted by a giant version of The Guest, the iconic character designed by star Spanish designer, Jaime Hayon. This collection featured prominently in a colorful wall display, demonstrating the versatility of this playful piece that has served as a blank canvas for many international artists to apply their creative visions. Other creations on display included Embraced, another playful piece also designed by Hayon representing the importance of self-care, alongside a range of collections from the brand’s Light & Scent category including 1001 Lights, Cactus, Chinese Zodiac and Imaginary Flowers.

Now in its 12th year and held at the Qi Zhong Tennis Center in Shanghai’s Minhang district, the Rolex Shanghai Masters is one of the world’s biggest tournaments for male professional tennis players and is the only one of its kind to take place outside of North America and Europe.

The German-based brand Nobilia is the largest manufacturer of fitted kitchens in Europe and has stood out for contemporary, individualised design and outstanding quality for over seventy years. The use of high quality materials, cutting-edge technology and superior handcrafted workmanship ensure long-lasting quality, important values that it shares with Lladró.

Lladró’s involvement in this prestigious sporting event is a continuation of the brand’s recent success and rising profile in China, which has included the opening of new boutiques in several important cities that present the brand’s key values of tradition, innovative design and quality craftsmanship to a key Asian market.
