It’s that time of year again when ARCOmadrid opens its doors to artists, collectors, exhibitors and enthusiasts from around the world. Spain’s international contemporary art fair, now in its 42nd edition and one of the most important events on the art calendar, is sponsored by companies from the Forum for Renowned Spanish Brands (FMRE) with the aim of spreading the identity and excellence of Spanish design. The central theme of this year’s event is “The Mediterranean: A Round Sea”.

Lladró is one of several leading Spanish brands participating in the decoration of the Guest Lounge (formerly known as the VIP Room), a space that draws the attention of visitors every year for its spectacular and creative designs. Known as the “Verbena” project, it is inspired by the links between cultures of the Mediterranean and has been conceived by the Madrid-based design studios Hanghar and Estudio Diir in association with the participating brands.
