LLADRÓ TAKES CENTRAL ROLE AT NYCXDESIGN AWARDS 2023
Lladró was proud to once again serve as the official award sponsor of the NYCxDESIGN Awards, which celebrate excellence in areas of design including architecture, interiors, products and technology. A unique version of The Guest, the iconic Lladró creation originally designed by Jaime Hayon, decorated in silver and with an orange base was created specially for the occasion and was presented to the category winners.
The prestigious ceremony which is now in its 8th edition and is part of New York City’s annual NYCxDESIGN Festival took place on May 18th at The Spiral, hosted by Studio by Tishman Speyer and with leading international designers and industry professionals in attendance.
The night continued at the dynamic Tuleste Factory in Chelsea with the official NYCxDESIGN after party, where guests honored NYCxDESIGN and celebrated the work of the interdisciplinary designers that remain at the heart and spirit of this vibrantly creative city.
The NYCxDESIGN awards recognise outstanding achievement across major areas of design, from architecture to interiors, products to accessories, and craft to technology. They are the connection that pulls together, focuses and rewards excellence in design achievement from the over 500 events that comprise New York City’s annual celebration of global design.
New York Design Week, known as NYCxDESIGN, is the annual design festival involving exhibitions, open studios, panel discussions, and other in-person and virtual events. It attracts thousands of visitors to New York City each year to celebrate global creative accomplishments, share new ideas, and inspire through design.
This year’s NYCxDESIGN festival continues until May 25th.
