SOFT BLOWN COLLECTION PRESENTED AT NEW MEATPACKING DISTRICT BOUTIQUE

Lladró presented the new Soft Blown collection, the result of a collaboration with Nichetto Studio, at the new boutique in New York’s Meatpacking District on May 23rd.

The Stockholm-based design firm Nichetto Studio has created a whimsical collection of two lamps – the Afloat chandelier and the Airbloom table lamp – both of which are available in a variety of colors and are inspired by the convivial spirit of warm, sunny days filled with street performers and colorful balloons.

Architects, interior designers and members of the press attended a conversation about the new collection between the firm’s founder Luca Nichetto and Benedict Hobson, Co-CEO of Dezeen, one of the world’s most popular and influential architecture, interiors and design magazine, which was followed by a cocktail party.

Originally from the island of Murano near Venice, Nichetto is internationally acclaimed in the global design community and is widely recognized for his expertise in lighting design and his skill at blending soft shapes with vivid colors.

Soft Blown is the brand’s first collaboration with Nichetto Studio and showcases the creative possibilities that emerge from the fusion of modern design with the heritage and craftsmanship of Lladró.

Both designs in the collection feature lampshades made from white, translucent porcelain that create the impression of weightlessness, alongside components available in three glossy colors. Both are true to Nichetto’s signature style and seamlessly blend creativity and spirit with practicality.

Opened earlier this year, the new Lladró boutique in the Meatpacking District is the first of its kind in the United States and is set to revolutionize the way customers experience our brand. Lladró’s most groundbreaking creations in porcelain ranging from innovative lighting to stunning jewelry and iconic contemporary sculptures are displayed in a series of dynamic and immersive spaces.
