THE PORCELAIN REVOLUTION AND STAR WARS ARRIVE AT LLADRÓ NEW YORK BOUTIQUE

As part of the 70th Anniversary celebration this year, Lladró recently celebrated an exclusive event in its new concept boutique in the Meatpacking District in New York City, to mark the release of its new design book “The Porcelain Revolution”, and released a limited-edition Darth Vader Golden creation, also coinciding with May 4th.

The exclusive event brought together a large number of important influencers, prestigious brand ambassadors and press, who wanted to share and enjoy this important event. Also, the assistants enjoyed an amazing evening soundtracked by DJ music.

The exclusive New York boutique was the scene of the presentation of the new design book “The Porcelain Revolution», a book published by Lladró that explores seven decades of porcelain craftsmanship. The book showcases the brand’s prioritization of quality handmade and experimental innovation, leading to creations that have become benchmarks of contemporary design such as the iconic collection The Guest.

In addition, Lladró released a limited-edition Darth Vader creation on May 4th, known to fans of the saga as Star Wars Day. The handcrafted porcelain piece of this instantly recognizable villain, nearly twenty inches tall and finished in matte gold porcelain, is a limited edition of just 70 pieces worldwide. The creation is the latest addition to the Lladró Star Wars family, which includes much-loved characters such as Grogu, Ahsoka Tano, Rey, Queen Amidala and Princess Leia, all of which were on display at the event.

The space designed by Valencia-based Carmen Baselga Taller de Proyectos, brings a range of products to life within its arched portals. The central feature of the store is a display of different vignettes that showcase the company’s groundbreaking products, ranging from inventive lighting pieces to stunning jewelry and spectacular contemporary sculptures.

Collections on display include the beautiful Nightbloom lamps designed in collaboration with Marcel Wanders, the playful yet innovative Firefly collection of cordless lamps, and a wall of Jaime Hayon’s sculpture The Guest, featuring collaborations with world-renowned artists such as Henn Kim, Supakitch and Paul Smith, amongst others. The display demonstrates how the brand has continuously evolved over the past seven decades, involving itself with some of the biggest names in the design world.

The new store can be visited at 435 West 14th Street in the Meatpacking District, New York
