UNVEILING OF MOKUREN BY NAOTO FUKASAWA AT COSENTINO CITY TOKYO

Lladró unveiled its new creation with the renowned Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa in Tokyo, Japan recently.

This year Lladró is celebrating its 70th anniversary around the world, showcasing its signature combination of craft and design. One of its latest additions to the catalog is the spectacular lighting creation Mokuren, designed in collaboration with Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa.

To present this chandelier in Fukasawa’s native land, Lladró hosted a special event for press and business partners in the architecture industry at Cosentino City Tokyo. The exhibition showcased the brand’s latest designs from Lladró, including iconic collections such as The Guest and Embraced, as well as other chandeliers and creations that had not been extensively unveiled in the Japanese market until now.

The event became a special occasion for the introduction of Mokuren, an exclusive new Lladró creation that has had a long-awaited release to very important customers in Japan, and featured Naoto Fukasawa himself as the star guest. During his talk which enthralled the audience, Fukasawa mentioned that people said Mokuren differed from his previous works, and as a minimalist designer, he may have unconsciously created a design that would not overshadow the emotional essence of Lladró. But actually, Mokuren is a chandelier that couples signature elements of the work of the Japanese artist and of Lladró: nature, craft and design, and would also become another masterpiece in his portfolio: “The light of Mokuren accentuates its serene existence when lit. It is a pleasant soothing surprise.

Lladró continues its active presence in a key Asian market, where its reputation for traditional values and artistic exploration are highly admired.
