A NIGHT OF HOPE GALA

Niño de la Caridad Foundation (NDLC), the non-profit organization dedicated to empowering and improving the quality of life for the predominantly Hispanic youth and families in Bronx, New York, celebrated its annual gala last 14th September.

New York Botanical Garden, a museum of living plant collections and a National Historic Landmark site, was the perfect scenario to recognize this year’s honorees: two Latinas who have made significant contributions to the Hispanic Community in the US. Ana Navarro, Co-host on ABC’s “The View” and a political strategist and commentator, received the Community Voice Award. Lucy Doughty, a philanthropist, entrepreneur, and fashion designer, received the Global Impact Award. Key event supporters include Presenting Sponsor Janice Parker and Jim White, Signature Sponsor Laura Driscoll, and many others including Lladró.

Niño de la Caridad Foundation aims to create a safe network where Latino leaders of the future can flourish and reach their full potential. Lladró was an active part of the gala, through some of their beloved characters: My Little Heroes, an inspiration to the youth and the honorees as the received one as an award. Ready to save the world in the cutest way, they are capable of making magic when they daydream.

They show all it takes to be a superhero: some wellington boots, a bathing costume or a tutu, and perhaps a towel for a cape. And then, these cute characters are ready to save the world with their super powers.
