DISCOVER DULK'S NEW WORK AT HONG KONG K11 MUSEA

The artist Dulk merges his deep love for nature with his artistic mastery, collaborating with Lladró’s artisanal excellence to present Ephemeral Treasures. This collection is currently on display at Hong Kong K11 MUSEA, 2F, GOLD BALL, from March 8 to April 7, 2025.

Two iconic works, Soul Rider and Ephemeral Treasures, are combined in this new collection with the intention of calling for action to protect our planet through art.

Ephemeral Treasures, a high porcelain work, is inspired by the fauna of the Asian jungles, transforming Dulk’s eponymous painting into a porcelain masterpiece. It is a composition rich in symbolism, brought to life through vibrant colors and meticulous details. The peacock represents nature’s beauty, while the hourglass on its back reminds us of the passage of time. A snake with a lit candle atop its head symbolizes the persistence of hope despite time slipping away. The large tiger, a combination of life and mineralization, speaks to resilience and transformation, symbolizing the vulnerability of species. Above the tiger, a monkey rings a bell, a warning that while nature moves forward, it is up to us to protect and preserve its fragile state.

Soul Rider is inspired by the central character in Dulk’s creative universe. It transforms the symbolic guardian from Dulk’s murals into a tangible presence in daily life, marking its debut as an independent sculpture. Soul Rider stands atop a «flower-skull,» symbolizing the danger that nature faces, while his face and banner are heart-shaped, symbolizing love as the antidote to fear.

The flower, clothing, bulging eyes, and ornate beak have all been carefully carved to depict this guardian of nature. In addition, soft colors of blue and cream have been carefully selected to adorn the piece. Soul Rider also serves as a symbol of hope and redemption, acting as a bridge between humanity and nature. Dulk uses intricate details to highlight the delicate connection between the two worlds.

Antonio Segura Donat, known as Dulk, is an internationally renowned Valencian artist whose work fuses surrealism, pop art, and underground aesthetics. He is recognized for his murals, paintings, and illustrations, which can be found in cities around the world. His collaboration with Lladró marks his first foray into porcelain, where he has brought his unique vision to life in a new and powerful medium.
