LLADRÓ AT SONRISAS MIAMI PRESENTED BY THE PAZ FOUNDATION
Lladró’s partnership with Operation Smile strengthens after celebrating its 20th anniversary last year, with the participation of the brand at Sonrisas Miami event.
Held at the Moxy Hotel in South Beach, the rooftop soirée celebrated the vibrant spirit of Hispanic heritage and the life-changing impact of Operation Smile across Latin America. The non-profit organization continues to cultivate their presence and donor stewardship in Latin markets and audiences in the US and Puerto Rico.
At the gala, Operation Smile recognized Satcha Pretto with the Fraternitas Cotto Changemaker Award. The Honduran-American journalist and news co-anchor of the Univision Network’s popular morning show Despierta America received Lladró’s Fraternitas sculpture, and ensured her inspiration to re-engage with Operation Smile on a future program.

The event also celebrated a successful silent auction with remarkable pieces, with a Minnie Mouse among them. Made in gloss porcelain, decorated in black with a vibrant red dress and ribbon, and with her characteristic white gloves, Minnie’s flirtatious mode, handmade at Lladró headquarters in Valencia, is a star piece in the Disney collection.
Since the beginning of the partnership in 2004, Lladró and Operation Smile have worked together to fund hundreds of life-changing surgeries. These surgical interventions not only alter the physical appearance of children but also provide them with a new hope and a chance for a better future. By freeing these children from social stigma and enabling them to reintegrate into their communities, these surgeries have a positive impact not only on individual lives but also on entire communities.
