Lithophanes Porcelain
In our lithophanes, light and matter are combined to produce emotion. Thanks to the translucent quality of porcelain, light brings out the relief on the surface to produce surprising and delicate effects. Each lithophane is made up of a porcelain dome ornamented with hand-etched patterns, with a lamp inside. When turning on the lamp, light passes through the dome and diffuses a warmth evocative glow, while at once bringing out the ornamental patterns etched on the surface. The light from the lithophanes transforms any corner at home, turning it into a place where the imagination can run free.
The magic of lithophanes comes from the play of light as it filters through the porcelain. Thanks to the LED lamp included inside, it bathes the whole space with warm light and brings out the etchings decorating the surface, producing surprising relief effects on the surface. The originality of these pieces lies in the surprising change in appearance the lamps undergo when lit, while also equally attractive when turned off, in this way creating several decorative possibilities.
