LLADRÓ SCARABS COLLECTION AT THE MERCEDES-BENZ FASHION WEEK

Porcelain and fashion came together at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid (MBFWM), where Valencian fashion designer Isabel Sanchis unveiled her new Fall-Winter collection and chose to embellish her designs once again with jewelry by Lladró, this time creations from the Scarabs collection.

Now in its 75th year, MBFWM is the biggest fashion event in Spain, with the best international designers, creative and promising new talents participating.

The Scarabs jewelry collection evokes one of the most representative images in ancient Egyptian iconography. The scarab was believed to be an amulet of good luck, strength and resurrection, and was carved in minerals such as granite or precious stones.

Thanks to Lladró artists, this mystical animal is given a new form in another noble material from the earth: porcelain. The palette of brown, orange, pistachio and pink colors in her designs, chosen for its optimism and zest for life, combine with the organic shapes and iridescent black enamelled porcelain of the pendant, earrings, ring and bracelet.
