LLADRÓ, 20 YEARS OF PARTNERSHIP WITH OPERATION SMILE

We celebrate 20 years of partnership with Operation Smile, the charitable organization dedicated to children’s health. And we do so by launching, this month of May, a new fundraising campaign, where a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the handmade porcelain sculpture, Fraternitas, will be directed towards the projects of this global nonprofit organization. Improving the lives of many children in impoverished communities worldwide by providing free surgeries for cleft lip and palate is one of their most prominent avenues of action.

Fraternitas not only showcases Lladró‘s craftsmanship but also serves as a symbol of friendship and unity in the effort to enhance the lives of needy children. Crafted by hand at Lladró headquarters in Valencia, Spain, this sculpture captures the essence of the collaboration between the two organizations, conveying a message of hope and solidarity through its inspiring design.

Since the beginning of our partnership in 2004, Lladró and Operation Smile have worked together to fund hundreds of life-changing surgeries. These surgical interventions not only alter the physical appearance of children but also provide them with a new hope and a chance for a better future. By freeing these children from social stigma and enabling them to reintegrate into their communities, these surgeries have a positive impact not only on individual lives but also on entire communities.

In addition to the donation initiative, a special event is planned at the Lladró boutique in New York City for October. This event will not only be an opportunity to celebrate the ongoing commitment of both organizations to the cause of Operation Smile but also provide a platform to bring together the local community and raise awareness about the importance of this humanitarian mission.
