NEW POP-UP SPACE OPENS AT LUXURY MALL IN VENICE

A new pop-up space dedicated to Lladró’s cutting-edge range of New Concept creations has been inaugurated this month in Venice, Italy. The space can be found in the Fondaco del Tedeschi, an historic building on the Grand Canal beside the Rialto Bridge, which was recently restored by the award-winning architect Rem Koolhaus and converted into a luxury shopping gallery.

Located on the first floor of the building, the space has been designed with a characteristic color palette in warm pastel tones to accompany the brand’s current message. Colorful mosaics, paint brushes and small moulds used to form the porcelain pieces all feature in a display that tells the story of the band’s artisanal legacy.

The range of creations on display include some of Lladró’s most modern and transgressive designs, some of which are limited edition and many of which were conceived in collaboration with internationally renowned creatives. These include the colourful wireless lamps from the Firefly and Kokeshi lighting collections, the new Imaginary Flowers collection of scent diffusers, contemporary sculptures inspired by the animal world such as Face 2 Face and Whales, and the brand new Embraced collection, featuring a charming character representing self-care created by star designer Jaime Hayon.

The space sits within the home decoration galleries and is in close proximity to other high-end design and luxury brands. This, combined with the Fondaco del Tedeschi’s fame throughout Italy as a luxury shopping destination, makes it the perfect environment for Lladró’s new collections to connect with an influential and upmarket clientele, attracted to the brand’s international reputation for innovative design and traditional craftsmanship.

With this new opening, Lladró has expanded its network of points of sale in Italy, the cradle of beautiful and innovative design, and it follows new openings in other cities around the world such as Berlin, Mexico City and Beijing. All form part of the brand’s plan to consolidate its omnichannel strategy by strengthening its online presence, while at the same time carrying out new physical spaces in major European capitals as well as cities in Asia, the Middle East and the Americas. Some of these spaces will house Lladró’s entire range of creations, while others will focus on New Concept and Lighting categories, all of which will bring visitors closer to Lladró’s creative processes.
