LLADRÓ AT THE PÁEZ MEDAL OF ART AWARD CEREMONY

The Paez Medal of Arts is an annual award presented by the Venezuelan American Endowment for the Arts (VAEA) to individuals and groups whose work has had an impact and contributed to the excellence, growth, support and proliferation of the arts in both Venezuela and the United States.

Since its beginnings, the VAEA has sponsored several cultural events in Venezuela and the United States with a longstanding commitment to promoting programs that will continue this tradition for future generations. It also promotes culture, diversity and education by awarding grants and organizing cultural exchange programs for young people.

The event was held at the David Rubenstein Atrium in New York’s Lincoln Center, and this year paid tribute to architects Frank Gehry and James Alcock. The Palm Firefly Table Lamp from the Firefly collection illuminated the ceremony as part of the decorations that adorned the guest tables.
