Hairstyle by Shimizu
In Medieval Japan, the sandogasa, a large sun hat fashioned from straw, accompanied travelers on their long journeys across the country. It was these hats, and the traditional hairstyles that hid behind them, that inspired Japanese designer Hisakazu Shimizu to create this original collection of lamps. Starting with their black satin wood bases and ending with shades made with layers of hand-blown Murano crystal, the sheer luster of these creations are sure to make an impression.
